If you're tired of mowing, watering and
patching up bare spots every summer. Artificial turf is one of the fastest ways to get your Perth yard looking sharp all year round. Site1 Supplies stocks a range of synthetic grass built for Western Australian conditions. From the softer, denser Soft Step through to the natural-toned Summer Natural and the budget-friendly Green Max. We install it too. So, you're not left trying to find a separate contractor once the turf arrives.

Our installation team handles the whole job. Clearing and levelling the existing lawn or garden bed. Laying and compacting a
proper base. Fitting weed matting, rolling out and joining the turf. And
finishing with edging and infill so it sits flat and drains properly through
Perth's wet winters. Because we supply the turf ourselves. There's no gap
between what you're quoted and what turns up on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does artificial turf actually last in Perth's climate?

Good-quality synthetic turf lasts anywhere from 10 to 20 years. Even under Perth's harsh summer sun. As long as it's UV-stabilised and installed on a properly prepared base. The biggest factor isn't the product itself but the install. Turf laid on a poorly compacted base will wear and shift far sooner than one laid correctly. Which is why we handle both the supply and the fitting.

Is artificial grass safe for kids and pets?

Yes. The turf ranges we stock are non-toxic and free of the heavy metals and lead. So, they're safe for children and animals to play on. Pet-friendly turf also has good drainage built in. Which makes cleaning up after dogs far easier than with real lawn.

Can artificial turf be laid over concrete or pavers?

Yes, it can. Provided there's a way for water to drain away underneath or through the surface. On concrete we add a shock-pad or foam underlay for comfort and drainage. Rather than laying turf directly onto a hard, flat slab.

Does synthetic grass get too hot to walk on barefoot?

It can get warm in direct summer sun. the same way pavers or decking do. Lighter coloured infill and occasional wetting down with a hose keeps the surface comfortable. Shaded areas of the yard won't be affected nearly as much.

Do I need to remove my existing lawn before installing turf?

Yes, in most cases. Any existing grass, weeds and topsoil need to come out. So, we can lay a compacted base underneath. Otherwise, the turf will settle unevenly, and drainage will suffer over time. We include this removal as part of our standard installation process.
